Industry:  Airport Support Vehicles

Application:  Customer needed cranes to lift heavy items to vehicles as they travel through an assembly line. The line contained 6 work stations in which the customer needed workers to be able to assemble and move 4000# loads at their own pace.

Gorbel® Solution:  A Free Standing Work Station Bridge Crane with six 4000# aluminum bridges.



The Problem:  The system needed to be flexible enough to allow for the pace of the workers in each of the six work stations.

Alternatives:  Customer had considered conventional electric driven cranes because they used them in other parts of their facility.

Why Gorbel Was The Smart Solution:  The customer chose a Gorbel® system because it allowed them to move the 4000# loads very easily and faster than the conventional cranes due to the ability to cover both horizontal axes at the same time.

The customer is very pleased with the system they chose. Production on that assembly line has increased 25%.
