Maintenance Gates are available to make maintenance on your overhead crane system easy!! Many plants have crane systems with very long runways and multiple bridges. Without maintenance gates, servicing these bridges is a very complex process.

How do they work? First, the Lock Bar (a) that keeps the Splice Joints (b) from moving into a release position must be unbolted and removed. Then, the Drop Down Section (c) can be removed by unbolting the bolts on the Splice Joints (b) and sliding them towards each other onto the Drop Down Section. The Drop Down section can then be removed creating an opening. Bridges on either side of that opening can then be removed through that opening.
