Gorbel® Easy Arm Reduces Operation to One Worker...

Two men were needed to lift the long, heavy sheet steel that had been cut off the conveyor. The company wanted to ensure the worker's safety while trying to make the process into a one man operation and still maintain productivity.

The Gorbel® Easy Arm allowed one worker to perform the operation without any decrease in productivity, while providing a safe environment for the operator. Overall plant productivity increased due to the other worker being reassigned into an area that needed some help.

A plant manager commented that the workers are very happy with it, it is easy to use and stores out of the way when not in use.

Question 1 from End Customer: What is the recommendation for G-Force® and Easy Arm™ preventative maintenance? I seem to have lost my Installation Manual.

Response 1: Certain components should be inspected on a daily basis; the coil cord and wire rope, for example. Other internal components should be inspected on a 90 day basis or more frequently if the application is considerably more intense. Gorbel has recently published new Preventative Maintenance Brochures for the G-Force® and Easy Arm™ products. They are available through your Gorbel® distributor.

Question 2 from End Customer: Is there a list of recommended spare parts for my G-Force® (or Easy Arm™)?

Response 2: There is a basic Recommended Spare Parts List in the back of each Installation Operation and Maintenance Manual. Contact your Gorbel® Distributor for a spare parts kit designed to meet your specific production requirements.
