    Ho! Ho! Ho! The holiday season is in full swing. My belly has finally returned to a normal size after stuffing it with turkey at my in-laws’ house last week. And now life has transitioned quickly into a gift shopping bonanza starting with Black Friday (which I happily steer clear from!).

    Human minds are instinctively wired for quick, satisfying results. Thus the longer, more complex road might quickly be overlooked (even though it might be better way to travel). I know that I am guilty of pouncing on those bright, shiny opportunities that are constantly entering my view.

    “If you need a machine but don't buy it, you will ultimately find that you have paid for it but don't have it" - Henry Ford I recently saw this quote in the email signature of a long-time Gorbel dealer. It got me thinking about the many “machines” that are needed yet never are acquired.
