Background
Flexco in Tuscumbia, Alabama, is a manufacturer of rubber and vinyl flooring. Before the Gorbel Easy Arm® Intelligent Lifting Device was installed employees had to manually unload 40, 70 and 80 pound rolls of vinyl.
The Problem
Realizing the manual lifting was as an ergonomic issue, the management at Flexco researched the options available with the help of Roy Ross at Right Solutions, Inc.
The Solution
They quickly decided that the Gorbel Easy Arm® along with a custom made end effector was the best solution due to the ergonomic benefits that these products combined could provide.
