A large muffler manufacturer had concerns about worker safety and fatigue during the assembly process of their exhaust assemblies. The welding area of assembly required workers to lift the large exhaust assemblies multiple times between welding cells. Not only was this process a safety concern but it caused fatigue and a slowdown in production. They needed to find a safe, reliable, easy to use solution that could adapt to the constant changes in their assembly process.

The company decided on several Gorbel Easy Arms with slide handle controls and custom gripper end tooling by Cynergy Ergonomics. The new setup allows a single operator to move the exhaust assemblies all around the welding area quickly and effortlessly. In some areas of the assembly process, float mode is utilized for precise alignment and positioning in the fixtures.

When the exhaust assemblies are completed, remote pendant control Easy Arms are used in conjunction with grip and pitch tooling to load dunnage racks for shipment.

Now, Gorbel's Easy Arms have become the company’s go-to solution for large assembly material handling and worker safety.

At the point when the fumes congregations are finished, remote pendant control Easy Arms are utilized as a part of conjunction with hold and pitch tooling to stack dunnage racks for shipment.
