Shifts for Victor, NY :

8am - 5pm (Mon-Fri)

Description :

Seeking a detailed and positive attitude person to perform a variety of cleaning duties throughout a four-building campus.  Cleaning duties will include light-duty cleaning activities such as, vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, and bathroom services. This position will also be trained to operate small floor cleaning machines to remove stains from hard and carpeted surfaces.  Light cleaning of outdoor surfaces (entry ways, parking lots, patios, etc) may be performed periodically, but not frequent.

To be successful, this persons should be able to complete assigned tasks within the stipulated period, be able to move throughout the campus with no limitations, be punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities :

  • Sweeping and mopping floors
  • Dusting furniture and fixtures
  • Vacuum carpeted areas and performing shampooing activities occasionally on carpets
  • Clean and disinfect fixtures and appliances in rooms, offices, lobbies and kitchen areas
  • Lightly clean bathrooms, using safe mixes of cleaning and sanitizing liquids
  • Clean door handles, walls, counters and display boxes, ensuring that no residue is left on any surface
  • Restock / replenish washrooms with paper towels, soaps, shampoo and towels
  • Occasional replacement of garbage receptacles linings
  • Wash windows and panels and ensure that doors are properly dusted and polished on a periodic basis
  • Stock closets with required supplies and communicate with maintenance supervisor in case of low stock situations
  • Ascertain that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored at the end of the shift
  • Occasional sweeping of outdoor entrance ways and adjacent parking areas

Required Qualifications :

  • Prior experience with cleaning processes and equipment

  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think proactively
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after given appropriate direction
  • Ability to follow health and safety standards
  • Good time management
