Fifteen years after entering the warehousing equipment industry with the groundbreaking Destuff-it™ Portable Ergonomic Conveyor, Gorbel® is proud to announce that Destuff-it has been recognized with the prestigious 2026 International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Award in the Special of the Year category.
Widely regarded as one of the logistics industry's highest honors, the IFOY Award recognizes innovative products and system solutions that deliver exceptional functionality, customer value, quality, and market relevance. This year, 49 entries from around the world competed for recognition. Following a rigorous six-week evaluation process, only 13 products and solutions from eight countries advanced to the final stage.
All nominated products undergo extensive real-world testing and a comprehensive scientific innovation audit conducted by international experts. Evaluations focus on key criteria including innovation, functionality, customer benefits, quality, and market impact, ensuring that only the most transformative solutions earn IFOY recognition.
After a highly competitive race in the Special of the Year category, the jury selected Destuff-it, represented in Germany by Wiltsche Fördersysteme, as the winner. Destuff-it is a mobile, ergonomic container unloading solution that helps workers safely load and unload parcels weighing up to 74 kg (163 lbs). Its adjustable conveyor extends directly into trailers and containers, dramatically reducing the heavy lifting, twisting, reaching, and repetitive motions that are common in manual unloading operations.
With its battery-powered mobility, Destuff-it can be quickly moved from dock door to dock door, enabling facilities to increase throughput, improve operational efficiency, and significantly reduce the risk of workplace injuries.
The IFOY jury specifically praised Destuff-it for its exceptional practical value and its ability to address one of the logistics industry's greatest challenges: protecting workers from the physical strain associated with manual material handling. As a robust, cost-effective solution, Destuff-it bridges the gap between traditional manual unloading methods and fully automated technologies that remain impractical or unavailable for many operations today.
