Earlier this month, Teresa Riker celebrated 25 years with Gorbel®! Teresa is an Associate Buyer in the Materials group, so a normal day in her job is purchasing all the shop supplies for our warehouses in New York, Alabama and Arizona, and stock parts for Alabama and Arizona.
Teresa started at Gorbel® in 1995 as a receptionist. Since then, she has worked in many departments and worn many hats.
Outside of the office, Teresa has two children, a 27-year-old son who is a veteran, and a 22-year-old daughter. Teresa loves traveling to Michigan to see her children. She recently picked up a new hobby of four wheeling, and also enjoys walking, gardening, trying new recipes and shopping with her girlfriends.
Teresa loves the close-knit family feeling she has gotten from her time at Gorbel®, and loves that her Gorbel® family is always there for her. One of her favorite memories was when the whole company surprised her with a baby shower when she was pregnant with her daughter! She also remembers back when she first started, the Friday tradition of sitting around and waiting to hear the bookings for the week.
“I still love working at Gorbel® now just as much as the day I started,” says Teresa. She says that Gorbel® has helped her grow both personally and professionally over the years.
