Crane Spotting - Georgia Aquarium

One of our Regional Sales Reps is in Atlanta for the Modex Show. Over the weekend, prior to the show opening, he had the opportunity to visit the Georgia Aquarium. This aquarium is the largest in the Western Hemisphere. While there, he took the "Behind the Seas" tour and discovered the jib in the picture below.

What is really interesting about this aquarium is that it is not located on a large body of water or on a coast, so they make their own sea water using sea salt and city water. Even more interesting, in the filtration room, they use a Gorbel Wall Cantilever Jib Crane to lift up super sacks of sea salt weighing 3000# and lower them into a large mixing tank that makes the sea water.
